NEW STATE OF THE ART HOME FOR SPECTRUM FILMS

Spectrum Films is moving into a purpose designed, state of the art creative space in the heart of Fox Studios, it has been announced.

With design underway, the company will move into its new premises in early 2016, on  the second floor of the Frank Hurley Building.  The move will follow the unveiling of The Hans Pomeranz Stage 8, which the new premises will overlook.

Through the company’s rich history, Spectrum Films has consistently catered for the evolving needs of the industry.  The new facilities will offer refined technical services including purpose built edit suites, online picture finishing, colour grading and a custom built sound mixing theatre.  Through the recent acquisition of Huzzah Sound, Spectrum also provides sound design, editing and post sound management – all housed in state of the art premises designed to honour Hans Pomeranz’s renown legacy of providing a creative hub for the filmmaking community.

In line with the move, the company’s General Manager Adam Scott is being welcomed into the business as partner, working in tandem with Managing Director Josh Pomeranz.

“In partnering with Adam, Spectrum is looking to the future,” said Josh Pomeranz in making the announcement.  “In a rapidly evolving industry, Spectrum Films’ strives to be at the forefront of creative and technological innovation with the upgrade and expansion of services providing world class post production support.  This ensures that we are a leading player in the international and domestic market.

“We have come a long way from the converted chicken shop in Willoughby, and we look forward to welcoming our Spectrum family on the balcony soon!” he continued.

Fox Studios Australia Managing Director Wayne Borg said: “It was fortuitous that the space overlooking Stage 8 became available. Spectrum Films is a cornerstone studio partner, and to have them take residence in this new state of the art facility in the heart of Fox Studios Australia signifies their standing in our industry.

The Hans Pomeranz Stage 8 naming will take place at Fox Studios Australia in December 2015, marking the 51st anniversary of the establishment of Spectrum Films.
